Michael’s Teaching Philosophy:

“Teaching is not about telling students what they are doing right and wrong. It is about training them to identify and address their own concerns so they can become self-sufficient learners beyond the classroom. Even if the teacher knows exactly what feedback to provide, he/she should instead encourage them to think critically about potential solutions and allow them to make their own discoveries. The ultimate goal of every lesson is for students to correctly assess themselves under the guidance of the teacher, while simultaneously identifying and maintaining the skills they already have.”
